FACILITY DIRECTOR (Filled)
The Facility Director shall be accountable for the
day-to-day operations, as a whole, for the Paradise
Ranch facility. The position creates and maintains
an operating budget, develops and implements new
revenue generating streams. The Facility
Director's tactical work shall include but is
not limited to the following: produces budgets,
profit & loss statements, monthly graphs &
balance sheets for review by the Board; creates and
implements weekly employee schedules; processes
employee paperwork (i.e.W4's, I-9's, etc.);
payroll; processes bank deposits, bank
reconciliation; handles accounts payable &
receivables.
The Facility Director shall have the authority to
hire, discipline and fire employees with the
approval of the Board of Directors. The Facility
Director shall be responsible for all facets of the
business of boarding, training and grooming dogs,
assuring that clients are receiving the best
possible service and care at all times. In an
unforeseen emergency, the Facility Director shall
have the authority to act in the best interest of
PARADISE RANCH.
FACILITY MANAGER (Filled)
The Facility Manager's responsibilities shall
include but are not limited to the following:
assigns daily and maintenance work to the K9 Tech
Team Leader and K9 Techs; manages practices of the
boarding of animals and provides assistance to the
Facility Director in the overall operations of
PARADISE RANCH; assumes the role of "acting
Director" in the absence of the Facility
Director.
OFFICE MANAGER / BOOKKEEPER (Filled)
Individual must have
strong computer skills, knowledge of Quick Books,
Microsoft Word and Excel. Keen eye for detail
possessing strong organizational skills, positive
attitude and open to learn new things. Job
responsibilities include: Accounts Receivable, Accounts
Payable, Payroll, Taxes, Bank Reconciliation, Profit & Loss,
Budgets, State Fund Reporting ,all aspects of Human
Resources and our Kennel Software management program. Excellent written /
verbal skills and animal knowledge a plus for
this position.
K9 TRAINER (Open)
The K9 Trainer's responsibilities shall include
but are not limited to the following: responsible
for training of dogs and maintaining charts on each
dog with respect to time spent and training
performed; training the owners on the training
received by the dogs; and evaluating dogs to
determine types of training needed.
The specific types of training to be performed with
the dogs are: walks on a leash without pulling at
the leash; automatic sit when owner comes to a stop;
learning to sit, wait, stay, down, release, walk
with owner and come on command; sit/stay at the door
or gate; proper greeting of people without jumping
on them; learns to not chew on furniture, dig and
stay off furniture; learns what the verbal command
"No" means and the proper response; learns
off-leash silent commands with hand signals or
verbal commands; learns puppy manners including
house training and socialization; and
anti-aggression training toward dogs and people.
OFFICE MANAGER (Filled)
The Office Manager's responsibilities shall
include but are not limited to the following:
supervises the activities performed within the
office; facilitates change in workflow and personnel
assignments within the office; regularly monitors
the accuracy and completeness of client activity
within the office; prepares written materials
describing procedures and standards as required by
the Facility Director; client case management;
computer updating and maintenance; orders office
supplies and equipment as needed; interprets and
communicates office operating policies; daily income
categorizing as required by the Facility Director;
updating company forms and printing; assists in
screening of job applicants; and performs the duties
of the receptionist as required.
K9 TECH SUPERVISOR (Filled)
The K9 Tech Supervisor's responsibilities shall
include but are not limited to the following: sees
that all morning and evening work listed on the
Daily Work Sheet is completed; ensures correct
feeding of animals; ensures correct dispensing of
medications according to the office instructions;
observes good health practices in the boarding of
animals; supervises all attendants on duty; assumes
the role of "acting manager" in the
absence of the Facility Director or Facility
Manager.
K9 TECH (Open)
The K9 Tech's duties include but are not limited
to the following: assists in checking animals in for
grooming, training or boarding; assists with other
duties in the shop at the request of management;
feeds and waters the animals; cleans quarters;
cleans grounds; cleans floors; cleans grooming
areas; shall also perform tasks as indicated on the
Daily Work Sheet or by management; maintains dog
assignment log; inspects colored name bands to
insure that they are clean, legible, not twisted and
correct; weighs dogs, incoming, departing, and dogs
who are on extended boarded care are weighed every
other day; daily observation notations are made of
each dog throughout the day; preps the food; places
food for the dog; administers medications and
supplements; responsible for greeting clients;
checks dogs in and out; maintains lockers in the
feed room; and assists in the tour evaluation.
GROOMER (Open)
The Groomer shall be ready for work at the grooming
station on days scheduled. The Groomer shall accept
and complete assignments as given by management.
Other duties shall include but are not limited to
the following: mixes shampoo as directed by
management; trims animals according to directions as
set forth on Client cards and/or per the Facility
Director; performs all customary grooming operations
as typically performed by members of their trade;
and observes and complies with working regulations
as posted which satisfy the OSHA complaint of
December 15, 1982. The Groomer shall leave work when
assignments are finished. The Groomer will prepare
dogs for checkout condition, after management
approval, dogs will be released to the K9 Tech as
scheduled. No Groomer will leave without being
certain that all dogs assigned to any Groomer will
be finished on time. In certain situations, as
ascertained by management, the Groomer will groom
additional dogs prior to leaving work. Failure to
adhere to this rule is grounds for termination. The
highest quality work is expected of the Groomer.
RECEPTIONIST (Filled)
One of the two Receptionists shall report for work
at the opening of the business day and will be
responsible for performing opening day tasks for the
office. The second Receptionist, assigned to report
later in the day, will be responsible for performing
all closing tasks for the office at the end of the
day. The Receptionist's responsibilities shall
include but are not limited to the following: checks
animals in and out for boarding training, and
grooming; answers the telephone and makes
appointments; collects money due for services
rendered and balances daily books as directed by the
Facility Director; completes client files;
represents PARADISE RANCH to the public.
OVERNIGHT CARETAKER (Filled)
The Overnight Caretaker duties include but are not
limited to the following: reviews End of Day Report;
completes Observation Report on each dog; makes sure
that the Bed Buddy/Room Buddy Report is followed so
that the client's dog receives the paid for
services; reviews the Arrival Calendar Report for
the new dogs arriving the following morning and
print the names of the dogs onto the name bands with
the dog's arrival date; checks in-house dogs to
insure proper bands are in place and if not make new
ones; insures that all dogs have collars on;
monitors all dogs; checks the Food Prep Room to see
that everything is put away and in the proper
places; the decorative pillows shall be removed from
all beds and covers the beds with the protective
fleece (sheepskin) covers; distributes sheepskin
"beds" throughout both House "A"
and "B," Employee Lounge, Feed Prep Room
and places on beds and floors; takes dogs for potty
breaks; monitors the behavior of the dogs and
provides verbal reprimands as necessary; two head
counts will be taken before retiring for the night
to ensure that every dog is accounted for; compares
and checks on the computer list to ensure that dogs
are properly assigned to the correct room; and if
dogs take a potty break in the house, notes on the
observation log and cleans it up.
LANDSCAPE AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE (Filled)
The Landscape and Facility Maintenance duties
include but are not limited to the following: mows
the lawns, waters lawns, indoor and outdoor plants,
maintains ponds, repairs and maintains plumbing,
repairs and maintains electrical operations,
performs construction projects as required, cuts
shrubbery and weeds as necessary on the premises of
PARADISE RANCH and at the homes of the owners/Board
of Directors; maintains the facilities in good
working order and performs appropriate tasks as
identified by the Facility Director or other
management as needed.
HOUSEKEEPING (Filled)
The Housekeeping duties include but are not limited
to the following: clean the rooms of the facility
including the homes of the owner; do the laundry at
all locations as required.
